      Description

      Metadata such as the SRS url and DAS registry url is not updatable if it already exists in the user's jalview_properties file. When such data changes, a mechanism is needed to allow the replacement or extension of existing properties with the new defaults downloaded either from the jalview website or even as shipped with an updated build of the application (in the case of webstart).
