Jalview does not update the screen leading to the app becoming completely unusable

The app is completely unusable at the moment (at least for me) because of the fact that it does not refresh/redraw the screen leading to windows that open when you hover over something with the mouse staying on top of the actual buttons and menus hiding them and as mentioned before making it almost impossible to use the app.
