Disable Autosearch for index change in FTS Sequence Fetcher when autosearch is deselected

In the Sequence Fetcher free text search panel (e.g. UniProt), there is no gui search activation (e.g. a [search] button), instead an autosearch is performed when something about the search changes (with a delay for text changes).
When autosearch is deselected, a search is initiated by pressing return in the text box after the text has changed. However, an autosearch is still performed when the dropdown index selection is changed. This is not good behaviour and horrible. However, what's even more horrible is having to then click in the text box and press return to activate the search.
There should be a search button that is enabled when the query terms or index are changed, and disabled when the search happens.
