NCList is terrific and very efficient. However, at least as implemented it is slowing down JavaScript rendering of the OverviewPanel by about a factor of two.
Pushes associated with this issue offer a different approach not involving "fully contained subinterval nested NCNodes. Instead, this method focuses on just "nesting" the start-point of the interval in the form of a bottom-up linked list.
