Hi,
Runing jalview with students, I saw two computers presenting the same problem. Both had the very last install of jalview 2.10.0, windows 10 and the very last version of java (java8). In both case during the install there was an error showing as "Windows error 2" and there was no way to install jalview. the webapp was however working fine.
The error found seem to match this one https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/wikis/home?lang=en#!/wiki/IBM%20TRIRIGA1/page/Troubleshooting%20CI%2012.1.2%20-%20%27Windows%20error%202%20occurred%20while%20loading%20the%20Java%20VM%27%20on%20Java%201.8.0_60%20and%20later but I could not hack the offered solution.
