      Description

      Currently, alignment window titles are incrementally constructed from the datasource plus a series of operations. These get long and become hard to understand.

      A rename operation would be the simplest function. An 'edit history' view would show the provenance for the alignment, so the structured name is not lost (and could optionally be displayed).
