Description
JABAWS 2.0's google analytics logs can record the use of services for every JABAWS 2.0 server worldwide, allowing the Barton group to easily evaluate JABAWS server usage.
Normally, when this public logging facility is enabled, only the service used and the location of the JABAWS server are recorded, but it is also important to record where the client who used the service resides.
The GA mechanism built into JABAWS 2 needs to be enhanced with a reverse DNS lookup to allow a client's hostname and resolved IP to be encoded as the referrer (so the GA call comes from the JABAWS server, but it's referrer is the resolved IP details for the client that used the service).
