group panel in displayed feature settings doesn't update after adding or modifying features in a new group

If a feature settings dialog is open on a view, and the user loads, creates or edits a feature with a group attribute that does not currently exist in the group panel of the feature settings dialog box, then the group panel does not automatically update to provide a checkbox to control the display of features in the new group.
