      Description

      JAL-341 introduced methods like getSelectedSequences which allow the retrieval of the currently selected sequence IDs as a list and the selected region as an alignment. Selection events are also raised, which pass this information to javascript handler functions. However, if there are hidden columns in the alignment, the callee has no way to identify which columns were actually selected by the user.

      We now need functions for obtaining just the visible regions that are currently displayed/selected.
