alignframe loses input focus after create/amend annotation dialog is opened and closed

      Description

      opening the amend annotation row dialog causes the alignPanel not to receive keystrokes such as 'H'. The keystrokes work again after some other window is opened and closed (e.g. overview, consensus scheme dialog box, etc).
