More columns get selected than were clicked on when a number of columns are hidden

If sequences are of unequal length, and more columns at the start and end of the alignment are hidden than are visible, then when the mouse is click+dragged across the ruler to select the visible region, it is possible to select beyond the displayed sequences, and additional columns are highlighted beyond the mouse pointer.
