Tree viewer rendering preferences

By default the tree viewer displays all the information attached to a newick tree (like branch lengths, root branch length, bootstraps - if present, etc - though poss. not internal node names yet).
A global preference is needed to control the display of these numbers (distances, bootstrap, unlinked nodes) that can clutter the display if one is not interested in them.
