pdb files without identifier cannot be opened in the structure viewer

a pdb file retrieved from a URL like:

http://10.21.0.54/~Kersten/aligned_to_Kt7/2AVY_EcKt23.pdb
(attached)

cannot be shown in the Jmol view. In the applet, when its associated with a sequence in an alignment, a null pointer exception is raised.
