colour by->all views doesn't allow colouring same structure from visible regions in different views

Import and show a structure for a sequence.
Create two views.
In one, hide all but a few residues (ie first half). In the other hide all but some other residues (ie last half of structure). Pick a different colourscheme.
Expected result is that two portions of chain receive colours from different views. This doesn't seem to happen.
