Description
Jalview fails to appear when launching with jalview.bin.Launcher. It reports that it is trying to run with:
Running jalview.bin.Jalview with scale setting -Dsun.java2d.uiScale=8947849
which is not going to work! Console output appears normal including web service discovery, but there are some complaints from sun.awt.X11 (including a zero division) that are unexpected.
This happens with several different versions of OpenJDK JRE 11.
Setting -DsetHiDPI=false or -DsetHiDPIScale=1 does not appear to have any effect (the same large scale value is still reported).
Have not yet tried similar on debian in a VM on linux.
This happens with the packaged jalview deb (jalview/testing,now 2.11.1.3+dfsg2-5) and also with a freshly compiled jalview in both master and develop branches.
