Description
ChromeOS can support Jalview's linux-based build toolchain through Crostini linux container (at least available for x86 based chromebooks, and potentially also arm).
By default Crostini (circa 2019) provides a Debian Stretch (upgradable to Buster) based linux environment. Buster is necessary to support installation of Gradle with JDK11 support out of the box.
Documentation and patches to the gradle build system will be necessary to support chromeos based development.
