      Description

OpenJDK 11 has a different font rendering engine, and no longer includes Lucida fonts.
The default rendering of the Alignment and Annotation text is very pixellated/blocky.
There is also a pixellated appearance of the getdown splash screen in Java 11. This is slightly improved by setting the install4j launcher to be DPI unaware, but the font rendering is not improved.

The getdown splash screen and fonts are okay in a Java 8 version.

Could we bundle a licence-unencumbered font that plays well with Java 11 to use as default font?
A suggestion: https://software.sil.org/andika/ (a focus for beginner readers means it has clear letter forms, although it uses non-print style "a" and "g" which might seem odd).
