launcher.log from jalview runtime missing newlines and also lacks stdout/stderr reported in Jalview Console

      Description

      Standard out / Standard Error reported via the Jalview console is also logged to launcher.log, but no newlines are included. See attached log to view this.
      The log is also missing any version information for the Jalview runtime (version, git-commit, build date, etc).
