FeatureSettings checkbox click with change of focus fails in Java 11

      Description

      Open two Feature Settings panels (e.g. for two alignments)
      - click 'Show' column checkboxes in the two panels alternately
      - in Java 8, checkboxes change state when clicked
      - in Java 11, nothing happens: needs a second click on the checkbox after its panel gets focus
