Can't Hide column adjacent to hidden column marker

Select one or more columns adjacent to (or enclosing) an existing hidden column marker. Right-click in the column immediately left or right of the marker gives option 'Reveal' only, in other selected columns option 'Hide Columns'. Not possible to hide just one additional adjacent column (using the mouse).
