Fast paint of wrapped alignment out by 1 column

Put uniref50.fa into wrapped mode, page down, page up. The last column of the first row is overwritten, all subsequent columns are shifted left by 1 position. A repaint (e.g. by clicking in the alignment) corrects the display.
