Uniprot FTS doesn't allow you to modify query after query error

open Uniprot fetcher, and enter "GLO1_* AND". Then wait.
The uniprot service reports 400, and this exception is raised as a 'malformed query' error (shown as a mouse over ). But, the text query box doesn't revert to an editable text box.
