Using http://www.jalview.org/examples/exampleFile.jar, open up a 3D structure for FER1_SPIOL in the JMol window and set scheme to ball and stick, then save the Jalview project. On reload the JMol window reopens at the default scheme.
Repeated attempts produced slightly different results - on one I briefly saw the ball and stick scheme before it reset, sometimes the colour scheme is changed.
