Cannot set colour of new feature type when creating new feature

      Description

      Steps to reproduce:
      0. open default example features + alignment applet
      1. select a region, use selection->create features dialog to create a feature with default jalview feature type/colour settings
      -> features creaed and displayed
      2. select another region and use selection->create features dialog to create new features with different type, and a different default colour.
      -> newly created features have the same colour as the default jalview features created in step 1.
