LiveScript permission dialog not always raised in time for applet oninit javascript callback

When several applets are starting up on the page, the java plugin can take some time to raise the permission dialog requesting the user to allow communication to occur between the different applets on the page.

JalviewLite needs a more robust approach to checking that liveConnect is available before attempting to call the oninit function, otherwise integrated webapps may not initialise themselves properly.
