View RNA structure displays a blank VARNA panel for invalid RNA structure

If RNA secondary structure annotation is invalid, then, selecting the 'View->Structure->View RNA structure' entries that open VARNA windows for particular sequences result in a blank window, and a stack of exceptions on the console.
