drag url from directory view of file in chrome doesn't work

      Chrome on OSX 10.6.8.

      Description

      dragging a link to the Desktop window for a file shown in a directory listing shown in a web browser for a local directory (i.e. browsing to a file:/// URL) should open that file in Jalview.

      It doesn't open when using Chrome on OSX 10.6.8
