Jalview versions prior to 2.7 had no formal test suite. This is changing ! (Thanks to Paolo di Tomasso for beginning this)
Jalview 2 series code houses JUnit tests under test/
Test data should ideally reside in the examples or examples/testdata directory, unless strictly associated with a particular package, in which case it can reside within an appropriate directory within the /test/ file hierarchy.
