visual indication of feature fetching progress

with the introduction of the multithreaded jdas sequence feature fetching client, the user is no-longer made aware of the progress of feature fetching by dynamic updates to the display. The new fetcher implementation needs tweaking to ensure the user is informed of the number of sources left to query, and the dynamic update should be reinstated so new data is added as and when it is available.
