Description
(Posted to jalview discuss by Rein Aasland)
I experience a "sensitive spot" (possibly a bug) when I'm editing sequence id/description. If I'm carful with the mouse, it works fine. But the slightest drag with the mouse while in the id/description dialog window brings up the beachball, and Jalview freezes. It doesn't seem to happen in other dialog windows (I tested a few).
Maybe hard to deal with, and can be avoided by being careful.
Other notes:
I first observed the bug with an older Jalview version (2.2; -- noticed, since there was no console to check in). But I have upgraded to 2.5 now (while keeping my newer files, with my personal settings, I presume),. -- and I have recreated the bug in also this version.
